The Consulate General of Sri Lanka participated in the Pakistani Mango & Multicultural Food Festival organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan on 18 July 2026 at Sandown Racecourse in Melbourne.
One of the festival’s major attractions was the multicultural pavilions, where visitors enjoyed cultural performances and exhibitions representing Pakistan, Sri Lanka, China, TΓΌrkiye, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
The Auburn, an Australian wellness brand offering premium Alba-grade Ceylon cinnamon, operated a stall showcasing its products at the Pakistan multicultural food festival. Known for its naturally low coumarin content, Ceylon cinnamon drew large crowds for its delicate aroma and daily health benefits.
The cultural segment of the event featured performances by Sri Lankan community dance troupe βShashila’s Dance Troupe & Theatreβ portraying Sri Lankaβs rich dance traditions and cultural heritage to an international audience in Victoria.
Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan MP, visited the Sri Lankan stall and interacted with stall participants. Julian Hill, (Federal M.P. for Bruce) Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs, and Assistant Minister for International Education, Cassandra Fernando, Federal M.P. for Holt and Ann-Marie Hermans, M.P. for South- Eastern Metropolitan (Legislative Council-Victoria) also visited the Sri Lanka stall.
Sri Lankaβs participation in Pakistani multicultural food festival served as an effective platform to enhance the country’s visibility within Victoria’s diverse society.
